Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend using Command Hooks if you are placing on a wall. Use 2-3 for the 17’ garland to make the shape you would like. Secure the string/fishing line/ribbon through one of the holes in the balloon tape and then tie to your Command Hooks.
We highly recommend securing to a photo backdrop stand with a backdrop you have chosen to make a complete look or for a fun photo booth for your party. Use string to secure to the ends of the photo stand and use one of the backdrop clips to secure in the middle or any large clip. You can also hang from a curtain rod using the same method and the curtains or windows can make a nice backdrop.
You could also secure from the ceiling using fish-eye hooks and fishing wire to give a floating effect. I love to do this in the hallway or entrance way. NOTE: Fish-eye hooks will leave small marks from where they go into the ceiling. You can easily cover with a little spackling paste but not everyone will want to do this.
For best results we recommend blowing up the balloons no more than 24 to 48 hours before your event, keep it indoors and out of direct sunlight. This is great since you can do this a day or two before your party. We've had customers tell us that their garlands were still going strong a few weeks later. We had one that still looked good after a month.
All good parties come to an end, so when it is time for your balloon garland to come down, carefully pop the balloons, make sure little kids (under 8) are highly supervised, we don’t want any balloon pieces ending up it little mouths, pull the popped balloons from the tape and put in the balloons in the compost bin, the packaging can be composted as well or recycled. Only the tape should be put in the rubbish bin.
With our custom balloon garland option, you are only limited by your imagination and installation is really simple, but we understand that sometime there just isn’t enough hours in the day to do everything. We are working on a list of party planners that can help with balloon installations and much, much more. Our garlands are really easy, so don’t forget that the teenager next door or a babysitter could help you out as well.
